Version 2.8.3 – Release Notes

[NEW FEATURES]
– Now using Sparkle framework – keeping TimeNet Law up-to-date just got a whole lot easier!
– Edit Menu – Undo when deleting slips
– File Menu – Open Recent menu for quick access to recently opened Matters
– You can now click the Total field in Matter windows to switch between Total and A/R Balance
– When configuring your mail server, new options to send copy of emailed invoices to the firm, and Test Server Settings
– New option to show Total Non-Billable Hours on invoices
– Billing Center – Client Statements can now show all payments (including deposits) and account balances
– Billing Center – Client Statements now show taxes and late fees
– Added Tax column to Net Investment, Invoice Summary and Statement of Accounts Reports (only when there are tax amounts to show)
– Added Re-Issue Invoice feature to Billing Center’s Invoices section
– New Party Report
– Internal Accounting – bill costs directly to client, transactions fully linked with matters.
– Unlimited custom fields in Matter Settings, improved interface for entering custom fields
– When deleting invoices with payments applied directly, TimeNet Law now offers to deposit them into a retainer account.
– Can now set quantity for Additional Charge slips on the fly
– On invoices, late fees are now shown separate from previous balance amount
– When filtering clients by category in the main window, the listbox heading now shows what category is being shown, and how many clients are in just that category

[FIXES AND IMPROVEMENTS]
– Improvements to database reading and writing
– Fixed an issue with timekeeper and client contact info settings in the database
– don’t allow clients to be expanded/collapsed during initial load
– Bug with main window showing client totals as 0.00 in certain conditions
– Fixed an issue where the preferred Address Book group wasn’t properly filtering contacts from that group for import
– Fixed an issue where fee totals wouldn’t be shown on invoices when Slip Amount column was disabled
– Fixed an issue with fees vs disbursements collections on various reports
– Fixed a visual issue with Credit Report
– Payments deleted by canceling invoices are now logged to the Control Center audit database
– Dramatic speed improvement with opening and saving large matters
– Dramatic speed improvement with running Net Investment Report
– Visual improvements made to Fees & Disbursements Reports and Invoice Summary Report
– TimeNet Law now warns you when you’re opening a newer TimeNet Law database with an older version
– Fixed slight rounding issues that could cause amounts to appear as -0.00 or be high or low by 1 cent
– Fixed a date filter issue with Aged A/R and Aged WIP Reports
– Fixed a couple of small issues with the Restore Database feature
– Fixed an issue with bulk invoicing and using the Balance Forward for All Matters features
– Visual improvements, polish
– Fixed an issue with Dropbox affecting users of Mac OS X 10.4
